Title: Good Samaritan Society Registered Nurse  

Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $30.72 to $40.20 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Nanaimo, British Columbia (2 vacancies ) 

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work, CPR certification


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Specific Skills: Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Provide nursing care, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff


Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning
